Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for children with complex medical conditions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Support and educate families during some of their most challenging moments
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio or compact state (NLC)
• Recent PICU or pediatric critical care experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS and PALS certifications
• Ability to think critically and act quickly in high-pressure situations
• A genuine passion for caring for children and supporting their families

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in high-acuity pediatric settings
• Proficiency with pediatric medications, dosing, and IV therapy
• Ability to stay calm and act quickly in emergency situations
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members
• Comfort with electronic health records and charting
