Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Continuously monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments following established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to deliver comprehensive care
• Support and educate families, keeping them informed and involved in their child's care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Maintain a calm, organized approach during emergencies and high-acuity situations

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification required
• Current PALS certification preferred (training may be available)
• Previous pediatric or ICU experience is a plus, but passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of pediatric critical care assessment and interventions
• Comfort with ventilators, cardiac monitors, and pediatric emergency equipment
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
