Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess changes in condition, and respond quickly to emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety at all times
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to create and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families, helping them navigate their child's critical care journey
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state license
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Previous PICU or pediatric critical care experience is a plus
• Ability to think quickly and stay calm in high-pressure situations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with pediatric medication dosing and IV therapy
• Comfort with ventilators, monitors, and other critical care equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, family-centered approach to care
