Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate and support families during their child's ICU stay
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond quickly to emergencies and changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Ohio (or compact license)
• Current BLS and PALS certification
• Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Passion for pediatric nursing and patient advocacy

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric critical care protocols and standards
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and ventilator management
• Comfortable with electronic health records (EHR) charting
• Excellent assessment and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Compassionate and empathetic bedside manner
