Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate and support families during stressful and uncertain times
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care and progress

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Previous pediatric or PICU nursing experience preferred, but new grads with strong critical care interest welcome
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of pediatric medications, dosing, and safe administration
• Comfort with ventilators, monitors, and other ICU equipment
• Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication with families, patients, and healthcare teams
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
