Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric intensive care patients
• Monitor critical vital signs and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
• Support and educate families during some of the most challenging moments
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• PICU or pediatric critical care experience preferred
• BLS and PALS certification required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of pediatric assessment and critical care protocols
• Comfort with ventilators, IV pumps, and pediatric monitoring equipment
• Skill in collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers
• Excellent documentation and EHR proficiency
• Empathy, patience, and a calming presence for patients and families
