Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU
• Continuously assess patient status and respond quickly to changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust care plans
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with families
• Support and educate families through challenging moments

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Massachusetts (or compact state)
• BLS certification required; PALS certification strongly preferred
• Previous pediatric or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving per diem environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of pediatric medications, dosing, and emergency protocols
• Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate under pressure
• Team player who values collaboration and shared expertise
