Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, family-centered nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage complex treatments in the PICU
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to create and adjust patient care plans
• Support and educate families during some of their most vulnerable moments
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and escalate care as needed
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a safe, healing environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Current PALS certification
• Experience in pediatric critical care or PICU preferred
• BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong pediatric critical care knowledge
• Comfort with ventilators, monitors, and central lines
• Sharp critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Compassionate, calm presence in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
