Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible 12-hour shifts, per diem as needed (day/night options may vary)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric ICU patients
- Monitor critical vital signs and assess changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to optimize outcomes
- Educate and support families during challenging times
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and thorough documentation
- Respond quickly to emergencies and adapt to changing acuity levels
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
- Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience is a plus
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric assessment and critical care monitoring
- Ventilator management and emergency response
- Medication administration and IV therapy
- Family-centered care and compassionate communication
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
