Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized nursing care to pediatric ICU patients
• Monitor critical vital signs and assess changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to optimize outcomes
• Educate and support families during challenging times
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and thorough documentation
• Respond quickly to emergencies and adapt to changing acuity levels

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
• Prior PICU or pediatric critical care experience is a plus
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts as needed
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and critical care monitoring
• Ventilator management and emergency response
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Family-centered care and compassionate communication
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
