Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, as needed; approximately 9.5-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients throughout the perioperative continuum
- Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available and sterile
- Serve as circulating or scrub nurse during surgical procedures, anticipating the needs of the surgical team
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia recovery, advocating for patient safety at every stage
- Document nursing care accurately and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families before and after surgery
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (or compact state)
- BLS certification required; PALS strongly preferred
- Previous perioperative/OR nursing experience required, pediatric experience highly desired
- Ability to think critically and stay calm in fast-paced surgical settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical safety protocols
- Familiarity with pediatric anatomy, physiology, and anesthesia considerations
- Skill in using surgical instruments and OR documentation systems
- Understanding of aseptic practices and infection prevention
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
