Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgery
• Assist the surgical team in the operating room, ensuring a sterile and safe environment
• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia recovery, reporting any concerns immediately
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document all nursing care and surgical procedures accurately and thoroughly

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous operating room nursing experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and OR protocols
• Understanding of pediatric anatomy, physiology, and developmental needs
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable using electronic health records and surgical documentation systems
