Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, telemetry, and vital signs, intervening promptly when changes occur
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact state) - new graduates welcome to apply
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification required or must obtain within a specified timeframe
• Previous PCU, step-down, or telemetry experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
