Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients and their families
• Monitor vital signs and assess patients as they recover from anesthesia
• Partner with the care team to ensure a smooth, safe recovery process
• Educate families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification required; PALS certification strongly preferred
• Previous PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience preferred
• A patient-centered approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of post-anesthesia care and pediatric assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities
• Compassionate, family-focused mindset
