Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Start Date: 08-19-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem, 6-hour shifts; days and times vary based on availability
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate post-anesthesia care to pediatric patients and their families
- Monitor vital signs and assess patients as they recover from anesthesia
- Partner with the care team to ensure a smooth, safe recovery process
- Educate families on post-operative care and recovery expectations
- Document patient progress accurately and promptly
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required; PALS certification strongly preferred
- Previous PACU, critical care, or pediatric nursing experience preferred
- A patient-centered approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of post-anesthesia care and pediatric assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities
- Compassionate, family-focused mindset
