Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients and their families
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment
• Prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and maintain the sterile field
• Monitor patient vitals and advocate for patient comfort and safety throughout surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document accurate patient information and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory protocols

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Washington State or compact state
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of OR nursing experience, preferably with pediatric patients
• Experience with sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing and sterile technique
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused during surgeries
• Detail-oriented documentation and charting skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to pediatric care
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical team
