Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, 6 hours per shift, as needed
Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients before, during, and after surgery
- Assist the surgical team by preparing the OR, maintaining sterile field, and anticipating needs
- Monitor patient vitals, sedation, and overall status throughout procedures
- Advocate for the safety and comfort of every child in your care
- Document nursing care accurately and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses
- Support smooth patient transitions from pre-op through recovery
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification preferred
- Prior operating room nursing experience, especially with pediatric patients, is highly valued
- Strong critical thinking and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques and sterile field management
- Understanding of pediatric anesthesia and surgical procedures
- Ability to monitor and document patient responses accurately
- Skill in using surgical instruments and OR equipment
- Compassionate approach to caring for children and their families
- Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary surgical teams
