Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Assist the surgical team with procedures, ensuring a safe, sterile environment
• Monitor patients' vital signs, airway, and anesthesia recovery throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to deliver seamless care
• Comfort and educate patients and families before, during, and after surgery
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold strict safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or compact license
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• PALS certification highly preferred
• Experience in perioperative nursing, ideally with pediatric patients
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, compassionate environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical safety protocols
• Pediatric assessment and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to remain calm and focused during surgeries
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
