Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate perioperative nursing care to pediatric patients
• Assist the surgical team during operative procedures
• Prepare the operating room with necessary supplies and equipment
• Monitor patients' status and ensure safety throughout surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Document nursing care accurately and advocate for each child's needs

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania or a compact state
• BLS certification required; PALS certification preferred
• Previous operating room experience is a plus, especially with pediatric patients
• A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique
• Familiarity with operating room equipment and instrumentation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Compassion and patience when caring for young patients
