Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric surgical patients in the operating room
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during surgical procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and ensure safety throughout the perioperative period
• Prepare the OR suite with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Advocate for young patients and support families during their surgical experience
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio or a compact state
• BLS certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience, pediatric experience preferred
• CNOR certification is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of surgical aseptic technique and sterile field management
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and the surgical team
• Familiarity with pediatric surgical equipment and instruments
• Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in changing situations
