Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends (4 weekend shifts in 8 weeks)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Neuro Tele unit
Interpret EKGs and monitor patients' conditions
Administer medications and titrate as needed (e.g., Heparin, Amio, Cardizem)
Participate in bedside report and collaborate with the healthcare team
Complete SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Neuro experience a plus
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam and maintain sterile field

Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Knowledge & Skills

EKG interpretation
Cerner EMR system
Neuro patient care and management
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
