Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients with neurological and complex medical conditions
• Monitor and assess patients' vital signs and neurological status, intervening promptly when needed
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered while keeping a watchful eye on patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, test results, and recovery expectations
• Document patient progress accurately to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or a compact state license
• Current BLS certification (ACLS is a plus)
• Experience in stepdown, critical care, or neurology is helpful but not required
• New graduates are encouraged to apply - we provide a supportive learning environment
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of neurological assessment and monitoring
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Clear and compassionate communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize care in a fast-paced setting
• Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
