Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to medical-surgical patients
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care, adjusting plans as conditions change
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
- Document patient information promptly and accurately in the electronic health record
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns as needed
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire in good standing
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Previous medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Dedication to providing high-quality, compassionate patient-centered care
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of med-surg nursing principles, including wound care, medication administration, and patient monitoring
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and standardized nursing documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of infection control standards and patient safety protocols
