Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients in a Med/Surg setting
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Previous pediatric or Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and family-centered care
• Med/Surg nursing principles and best practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Patient and family education
• Electronic health records (EHR) charting
• Teamwork, adaptability, and compassionate communication
