Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem / PRN, flexible 6-hour shifts (days and times vary)
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for children with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring patients for response
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and home care
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately and promptly
- Advocate for the unique needs of pediatric patients and their families
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington (or compact license where applicable)
- Current BLS certification (PALS preferred)
- Experience in pediatric Med/Surg nursing is strongly preferred
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Skill in starting IVs and managing pediatric lines
- Excellent communication and family education skills
- Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
