Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a medical-surgical unit
• Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Document patient information thoroughly and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Previous med/surg or pediatric nursing experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of pediatric growth and development
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
• Clear and compassionate communication with children and families
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR)
