Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing interventions for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent required)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
• Previous Med/Surg or pediatric nursing experience is a plus
• Compassionate, adaptable, and able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Knowledge of pediatric growth, development, and family dynamics
• Flexibility and resilience in a dynamic healthcare environment
