Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients on the med/surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for each child
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments and interventions thoroughly in the EHR

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Current BLS certification required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Pediatric med/surg experience a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of pediatric growth and development
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) and charting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
