Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients on a Med/Surg unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient vitals, symptoms, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• PALS certification preferred
• Experience in pediatric or Med/Surg nursing strongly preferred
• Ability to work flexible 12.5-hour shifts, including weekends as needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric assessment and care planning skills
• Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Strong communication and patient/family education skills
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation proficiency
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize care in a dynamic setting
