Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Flexible 12.5-hour shifts, day and night options available, per diem as-needed scheduling
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients on a Med/Surg unit
- Assess, monitor, and document patient vitals, symptoms, and responses to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or a compact state
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- PALS certification preferred
- Experience in pediatric or Med/Surg nursing strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible 12.5-hour shifts, including weekends as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric assessment and care planning skills
- Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Strong communication and patient/family education skills
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation proficiency
- Ability to stay organized and prioritize care in a dynamic setting
