Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients with diverse health needs
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana, new graduates encouraged to apply
• Current BLS certification, ACLS preferred
• Med/surg nursing experience is a plus, but a strong clinical foundation and a passion for patient care are essential
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of med/surg nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy clinical setting
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Effective teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
