Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients with varying acuity levels
• Monitor patient vitals, assess conditions, and report changes to the healthcare team
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and nurses
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed electronic health records
• Respond quickly to patient needs and emergent situations, maintaining a calm and focused approach

Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado (or active compact license)
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
• New graduates with clinical rotations in Med/Surg are welcome to apply
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including some weekends and holidays as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team collaboration and patient advocacy
