Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to medical-surgical patients with diverse health needs
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient vital signs and recognize subtle changes in condition, responding quickly and effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients and teammates

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Previous Med/Surg nursing experience is preferred but not always required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including 12.5-hour shifts
• A genuine passion for making a difference in patients' lives

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in comprehensive patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Knowledgeable in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient acuity levels and changing priorities
