Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure safe outcomes
- Assist with procedures including C-sections, versions, and circumcisions
- Collaborate with doulas and massage therapists to enhance patient comfort
- Float to other units as needed to support the broader care team
- Document care accurately using Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience
- Current BLS, NRP, and C-EFM certifications
- STABLE and PALS certifications preferred
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and labor support
Education
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Comfortable floating to nursery, NICU, or other units as needed
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient experience
