Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, specialized care to critically ill patients
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions continuously
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans
• Support and educate patients and their families during challenging times
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state
• Current BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in ICU or critical care setting is a plus
• Ability to think quickly and act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ICU nursing practices and protocols
• Skilled in using cardiac monitors, ventilators, and other critical care equipment
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Compassionate and empathetic patient care approach
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) charting
• Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and unit demands
