Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as needed
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-saving interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the broader care team
• Support and educate patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient progress thoroughly and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Alabama (compact license accepted)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Previous ICU or critical care experience strongly preferred
• Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of ICU protocols, cardiac monitoring, and ventilator management
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Time management and prioritization in acute care settings
