Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and patient responses to interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-sustaining treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and adjust care plans
• Educate and support patients and families during intensive care experiences
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification strongly preferred
• ICU nursing experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing concepts and hemodynamic monitoring
• Mechanical ventilation and airway management
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and ECG monitoring
• Medication administration and titration of vasoactive drugs
• Patient and family education in acute care settings
• Efficient documentation and EHR navigation
