Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Continuously assess and monitor patient vital signs, response to treatments, and changes in condition
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and complex treatments with precision and care
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps
• Support and educate patients and their families during their ICU stay

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Previous ICU or critical care experience preferred, but we welcome nurses with a strong desire to learn
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of critical care nursing concepts and practices
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Skilled in caring for patients on ventilators and with complex monitoring
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations
