Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages
Perform rapid assessments and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting
Administer medications, start IVs, and manage patient care per protocol
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate urgent treatments
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans
Maintain situational awareness and escalate concerns to the care team when needed

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Emergency nursing experience preferred; confidence in triage and acute care
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make sound, timely decisions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments
Willingness to work per diem shifts and adapt to unit workflows

Education

Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN or BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic procedures
Familiarity with ER workflows and rapid patient turnover
Ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure
Clear, timely clinical documentation and charting skills
Strong collaboration and interdisciplinary communication
