Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department from triage to discharge
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for acute and critical conditions
- Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures with confidence
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless, high-quality patient outcomes
- Adapt quickly to changing patient volumes and acuity levels, providing calm and compassionate care in stressful situations
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or compact state) - required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) - required
- ACLS certification - strongly preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire
- PALS certification - preferred
- Previous emergency department or critical care experience is a plus, but new grads with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of emergency nursing concepts, including triage, cardiac care, and trauma
- Proficiency in using medical equipment such as defibrillators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps
- Skilled in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Excellent prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Capability to communicate clearly and effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
