Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care across a wide range of acute presentations
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and allied staff to create cohesive care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and according to protocol
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families with compassion during high-stress moments
• Respond to changing patient conditions and escalate concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire (or compact/state authorization as applicable)
• Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to work 12.5-hour per-diem shifts and adapt to variable scheduling
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid patient assessment skills suited for emergency care
• Proficiency with common ED procedures and emergency medications
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
• Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with patients and families
