Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care across a wide range of acute presentations
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and allied staff to create cohesive care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and according to protocol
- Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
- Educate patients and families with compassion during high-stress moments
- Respond to changing patient conditions and escalate concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Current RN license in New Hampshire (or compact/state authorization as applicable)
- Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work 12.5-hour per-diem shifts and adapt to variable scheduling
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required background checks
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and rapid patient assessment skills suited for emergency care
- Proficiency with common ED procedures and emergency medications
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks under pressure
- Compassionate bedside manner and clear communication with patients and families
