Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients presenting in the Emergency Department
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately
• Provide education and support to patients and families
• Respond quickly to emergencies and prioritize care based on acuity

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana (or compact license)
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (preferred or required)
• Previous ER/ED nursing experience (preferred)
• PALS certification (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and triage skills
• Proficiency in IV insertion and medication administration
• Knowledge of EKG interpretation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly
• Computer proficiency with electronic health records
