Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Radiology program and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and mentorship to staff so everyone performs at their best
• Manage equipment maintenance and inspections to meet regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures to support quality care
• Lead the radiation protection monitoring program to keep staff safe
• Collaborate with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance on quality and revenue capture
• Ensure all quality assurance and control activities are completed and documented
• Conduct staff supervision, competency assessments, and timely evaluations
• Perform radiologic exams within your scope and support staff who perform exams

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT/MRI technologist experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience with QA programs, lead apron testing, and MQSA requirements

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of PACS and digitized imaging workflows
• Familiarity with radiology equipment maintenance and inspection processes
• Solid understanding of radiation safety and regulatory requirements (MQSA, state and federal)
• Experience managing chargemaster entries and collaborating with Finance for revenue capture
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfort working in multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
• Ability to write or update radiology manuals, policies, and procedures
• Proven leadership skills to build a cohesive, high-performing team
