Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient function and mobility to create individualized treatment plans
• Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic exercise and mobility programs
• Provide manual therapy, gait training, and functional retraining to restore independence
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and fall-prevention strategies
• Participate in team huddles and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and adapting to site workflows
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Willingness to travel and be flexible while on a contract assignment

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred or equivalent professional degree/certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on manual therapy and therapeutic exercise techniques
• Gait training and use of assistive devices
• Clinical assessment and outcome measure selection
• Patient education and motivational coaching
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and basic digital workflows
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
