Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in an acute inpatient rehab setting to determine functional needs and goals
• Develop individualized care plans that drive measurable recovery and improved quality of life
• Provide therapeutic interventions across orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary diagnoses
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, speech therapy and rehab techs
• Document patient status and progress in Cerner PowerChart accurately and promptly
• Communicate assessment results and treatment plans clearly to patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Safely use patient lifting equipment and mobility aids to maximize independence and reduce risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (required)
• Current North Carolina Physical Therapy license (must have)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years clinical experience (as listed); at least 1 year acute care experience preferred
• Experience with acute care procedures and working knowledge of orthopedics, neurology and cardiopulmonary cases
• Comfortable documenting in Cerner PowerChart and using patient lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove)

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and care plan development skills
• Proficiency with therapeutic interventions for inpatient rehab populations
• Skilled at clinical documentation in Cerner PowerChart
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and lifting equipment
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
• Ability to manage a 1:1 patient ratio and adapt to variable daily caseloads
