Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' functional abilities and identify meaningful goals
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that improve independence
• Provide skilled OT interventions across inpatient, outpatient, swing bed, and skilled nursing settings
• Document care accurately and timely in the EMR to ensure continuity and quality
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload with clinical judgment and compassion
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs, physicians, and support staff to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive techniques to support recovery
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Qualifications

• Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• 2-3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings (experience requirement stated)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work well with patients and the care team
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and basic computer skills
• Ability to manage independent caseloads and exercise sound clinical reasoning
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach and commitment to continuous learning

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and outcome measurement

• Caseload management and clinical prioritization
• EMR documentation best practices
• Experience in acute care, rehabilitation, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings
