Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients thoroughly under physician orders to identify functional needs and goals
- Develop individualized treatment plans that maximize independence and functional potential
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a variety of techniques
- Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices to improve daily living
- Document evaluations, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility standards and regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Practice in accordance with the California State Practice Act
- Ability to evaluate and treat patients under referring physician orders
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and evaluation expertise
- Treatment planning and therapeutic intervention skills
- Experience with assistive devices and adaptive equipment
- Skilled in therapeutic procedures relevant to occupational therapy
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation habits
- Familiarity with State Practice Act requirements and compliance
