Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other body fluids
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results
• Conduct quality control procedures and troubleshoot unexpected results
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper handling and storage
• Document results accurately and communicate critical values to the healthcare team
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program
• MLT certification or eligibility (ASCP or AMT)
• Current Missouri state licensure if applicable
• Previous clinical lab experience preferred, new graduates encouraged to apply
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of laboratory safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
• Skill in operating automated lab analyzers and manual testing methods
• Familiarity with medical terminology and lab information systems
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Effective communication with clinical staff
