Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate laboratory testing on patient samples, including hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments to ensure precise results
• Follow strict quality control procedures and document findings in the laboratory information system
• Assist with specimen collection and processing as needed
• Collaborate with nursing and medical teams to deliver timely diagnostic information
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through ASCP or equivalent
• Missouri state licensure as required
• Associate's degree in medical laboratory technology or a related field
• Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records
• Good communication skills for interacting with healthcare team members
• Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot equipment and test issues
