Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist nursing and medical staff with patient care procedures
• Take and record vital signs, height, and weight accurately
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures
• Document patient information in the electronic medical record
• Manage patient flow and ensure a welcoming, comforting environment
• Support patient and family education as directed by the care team

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration in Oregon
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of vital sign measurement and patient preparation
• Comfort with electronic health records and documentation
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, families, and staff
