Candidate Pay Rate: $25 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all supplies are stocked and ready
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories
  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during patient exams and procedures
  • Perform routine clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, and lab specimen collection
  • Manage patient intake, charting, and appointment scheduling using the EMR system
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe environment

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is required
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Prior experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply
  • Excellent communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor
  • Ability to work flexible per diem hours based on department needs

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Strong vital sign assessment and patient intake skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Compassionate approach to patient care and family interaction
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
