Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an ambulatory clinic setting
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments to ensure smooth patient visits
  • Prepare patients for appointments by taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and documenting concerns
  • Administer medications and injections as directed, following all safety protocols
  • Perform routine lab tests, collect specimens, and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records and support the care team with clinical tasks

Qualifications

  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Previous experience in an ambulatory, outpatient, or clinic setting preferred
  • Strong phlebotomy and specimen collection skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, welcoming bedside manner
  • Comfort working flexible per diem shifts in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and EHR systems
  • Skilled in taking vital signs, administering injections, and performing EKGs
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality best practices
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical setting
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with providers and nursing staff
