Start Date: 08-18-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, 6-hour flexible shifts (start and end times vary)
Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an ambulatory clinic setting
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical instruments are sterilized and ready
- Take and record vital signs, patient history, and other key health information
- Coordinate patient flow to keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently
- Educate patients on care instructions, medications, and follow-up steps
- Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred
- BLS certification required
- Prior experience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting is a plus
- Strong clinical skills including vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient preparation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ambulatory care procedures
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service and patient interaction skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Compassionate and professional demeanor with patients and team members
