Shift Type: Per Diem, 6-hour flexible shifts (start and end times vary)

Candidate Pay Rate: $29 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an ambulatory clinic setting
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure medical instruments are sterilized and ready
  • Take and record vital signs, patient history, and other key health information
  • Coordinate patient flow to keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently
  • Educate patients on care instructions, medications, and follow-up steps
  • Document patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
  • Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred
  • BLS certification required
  • Prior experience in an ambulatory or outpatient care setting is a plus
  • Strong clinical skills including vital signs, phlebotomy, and patient preparation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ambulatory care procedures
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong customer service and patient interaction skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor with patients and team members
